Overview
The Young family have lived on and farmed their 448-acre ranch in Alexander Valley for over 160 years, passed down through 6 generations. Robert Young Vineyards is the largest family-owned grower of premium grapes in Alexander Valley, and Robert Young was the first to plant Cabernet Sauvignon in the valley back in 1963. The family selects the best 5% of their grapes for their small lot, estate wines, known for big, lush Chardonnay, bold Cabernet’s, and sublime Bordeaux Blends. The new Scion House tasting room, located 10 minutes from Healdsburg, is renowned for sweeping views of the valley, and was featured in Food & Wine Magazine’s “Best new tasting rooms in Napa & Sonoma”.
